Pursuant to its competences as defined by law, the State Electricity Regulatory Commission (SERC) has initiated the proceedings for setting of tariff rates for electricity distribution services and tariff rates for electricity supply within the universal service in the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The proceedings have been initiated based on the application of the Public Utility “Komunalno Brčko” d.o.o., Brčko, requesting a 15% increase in distribution network fees and a 28% increase in an average price of electricity supply within the universal service.
Based on the currently available data as well as those to be collected during the tariff proceedings, SERC will set the tariffs, that is, the prices of electricity distribution presented through tariff rates, which serve for calculation and billing of electricity distribution services for electricity customers as well as the tariffs, that is, the prices of electricity presented through tariff rates, which serve for calculation and billing of electricity for electricity customers supplied within the universal service in the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Tariff proceedings have to ensure that tariffs are based on facts and estimations which are in compliance with the general tariff setting principles and the criteria as laid down in the Law on Transmission of Electric Power, Regulator and System Operator in BiH, Methodology for setting of tariffs for electricity supply within the universal service in the Brčko District of BiH and Methodology for development of tariffs for services of electricity distribution in the Brčko District of BiH.

NOTICE ON FORMAL PUBLIC HEARING
Crucial facts in the tariff proceedings will be determined at a formal public hearing to be held on Monday, 30 January 2023 at the Education Hall of the Finance Directorate of the Brčko District of BIH (Miroslava Krleže 1, Brčko) starting at 12:00 hrs.
The formal hearing is open to the public but the present parties representing the public may not give any comments. The parties who are interested to participate in the tariff proceedings including the formal public hearing in the capacity of interveners have to submit their requests in writing no later than 10 January 2023. Intervener status may be granted to a party who provides evidence of direct interest in the tariff proceedings which differs from the general public interest.
