The State Electricity Regulatory Commission (SERC) informs all interested parties that Draft Rules on Wholesale Electricity Market Integrity and Transparency defined by SERC on 11 March 2020 are made available to the public.

Regulation (EU) No 1227/2011 of 25 October 2011 on wholesale energy market integrity and transparency adapted to the Energy Community legal framework by the Ministerial Council Decision No. D/2018/10/MC-EnC of 29 November 2018 is transposed by these Rules in the electricity sector. The Rules set out rules prohibiting abusive practices affecting the regular operation of the wholesale electricity market and provide for the monitoring of wholesale electricity market.

Interested persons may obtain the prepared Draft Rules at the SERC seat free of charge, or download it in the electronic form from the web site

Verbal and written comments may be presented at a general public hearing, which, due to the extraordinary circumstances caused by the corona virus pandemic, will be held using the internet communication platform on Thursday 7 May 2020 at 11:00 hrs. All interested parties are called upon to send their applications for participation in the hearing to the SERC e-mail address This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Based on the applications received SERC will distribute the instructions on how to use the communication platform to the participants.

The State Electricity Regulatory Commission will also consider written comments received at its address no later than 8 May 2020.
